A First-Timer’s Guide to the Adventure Bandits Bash & Glampout

One of the most popular RV meetups in the online camping world is the Adventure Bandits Bash and Glampout—and for good reason. These events are built around community, connection, and shared experiences on the road.

We’ve attended three Adventure Bandits events, including two Bash weekends at Savannah Lakes RV Resort and the always-popular Adventure Bandits Glampout at Atwood Lake in Mineral City, Ohio. Each event delivered the same feeling: instant belonging. Whether you arrive solo or with friends, it doesn’t take long to feel welcomed and connected.

Beyond the scheduled activities, these events are an incredible way to meet fellow RVers you’ll continue adventuring with long after the weekend ends.

If you’re attending your first Adventure Bandits Bash or Glampout, here are five tips to help you get the most out of the experience.

Adventure Bandits Bash and Glampout

Tip #1: Immerse Yourself in the Community Before You Arrive

Connection starts before you ever pull into the campground. The Adventure Bandits community is active across Facebook pages, Facebook groups, and YouTube comment sections. Take time to introduce yourself, engage in conversations, and recognize familiar names.

Getting comfortable with fellow attendees—and even other YouTube creators—gives you a huge head start on forming real connections once the event begins.

Tip #2: Know the Key Events (and Join In at Your Own Pace)

Adventure Bandits weekends are packed with activities, but two events stand out for first-timers:

The Camper Parade
This isn’t a parade where you tow your rig—it’s an open-house style event. Campers and RVs are open so attendees can tour setups, check out layouts, ask questions, and get real-world insights into the rigs they’re considering.

The Camper Crawl
Think of this as a campground potluck on steroids. Hosts offer small bites or drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) from their campsite. You can host, wander with a group, or do both—sampling food, sipping drinks, and meeting people along the way.

Other highlights often include:

  • Cornhole tournaments

  • Live music & jazz nights

  • Theme nights

  • Group breakfasts

  • Paint & craft events

Before you know it, you’ll be blending into groups and making new friends effortlessly.

Tip #3: Don’t Overbuy Food

We made this mistake at our first Bash. Between the camper crawl, group breakfasts, and nonstop socializing, there was very little time—or need—for cooking large meals.

Now we plan simple, quick meals or prep food at home to reheat. We also keep:

  • Easy appetizers to share

  • A signature cocktail that can be made on the fly

Less cooking means more time connecting—and that’s what these events are really about.

Tip #4: Stay Flexible and Open-Minded

One of the best parts of the Adventure Bandits Bash and Glampout is the shared knowledge and experience within the community. You’ll walk away with:

  • New RV modification ideas

  • Practical tips

  • A growing wish list

These events are organized by dedicated volunteers, not professional event planners. While they’re incredibly well run, things outside their control—like weather—can occasionally cause delays or cancellations. Stay flexible, go with the flow, and you’ll still have an amazing experience.

Tip #5: Keep the Connections Going After the Event

Be ready to:

  • Share your email

  • Add new Facebook friends

  • Exchange phone numbers

After the event, share photos and videos, tag new friends, and stay engaged online. Paying it forward strengthens the community—and it’s how we’ve built some of the most genuine RV friendships we’ve ever had.

If you’re used to camping where neighbors don’t wave or connect, the Adventure Bandits Bash and Glampout are the perfect way to find your tribe—and rediscover what makes the RV community so special.
